Badass.Gal

Personal Project

I co-founded Badass.Gal with Charlotte Owers, a platform created to spotlight brilliant female creative talent every single day.

Born from frustration with the industry’s once-a-year approach to celebrating women, we set out to prove that the talent everyone claims to be searching for is already right here: in studios, agencies, universities, and entering the industry fresh.

Over the course of building the platform, we featured more than 500 creatives, ran workshops with Adobe, became a trusted recruitment resource, and even celebrated our first year with an event at X (Twitter).

As the community grew, we realised many young women struggled to celebrate their own successes. To shift that culture, we launched #BadassBecause, an exhibition and event created with Adobe, X, Curious Productions and illustrator Beki Riley, designed to challenge the stigma around self-promotion and champion women owning their achievements.

This is one of the proudest things I’ve done in my career.
